About Nikki

Nikki Holmes is an experienced psychotherapist with a passion for helping children, young people (CYP), and vulnerable adults overcome mental health struggles and reach their full potential. With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, including as a Primary School teacher and SENDCO, Nikki has developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young people, particularly those dealing with emotional, behavioural, and developmental difficulties. This experience has shaped her therapeutic approach, driving her enthusiasm to help CYP navigate an ever-changing world.

Nikki’s integrative therapeutic approach combines psychodynamic therapy, CBT, solution-focused interventions, and clinical hypnotherapy.She uses Person Centered, CBT, DBT, Trauma informed approach, Integrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, ACT, psychoanalysis, neurodiverse informed therapy.
She creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. Whether working with children on trauma or anxiety, teenagers with depression, or adults facing stress, Nikki’s approach is compassionate, client-centered, and evidence-based.
Nikki is fully qualified and accredited with expertise in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, attachment difficulties, and SEND. She holds professional memberships with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and is also a clinical hypnotherapist. She is committed to continuous professional development and engages in regular clinical supervision to ensure the highest standard of care.
She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including social services and educational professionals, to ensure holistic care, particularly for children with SEND and school-related anxieties.
Nikki also works with adults, particularly professionals in both public and private sectors, who experience burnout, stress, bereavement, and critical incidents. She offers crisis interventions, emotional wellbeing support, and debriefing for professionals who need to process traumatic events or workplace challenges. 
With experience in Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and private healthcare settings, Nikki provides therapy through face-to-face, online, and telephone consultations, ensuring accessibility for her clients.
